Project overview

AP Technologies Group worked on Stockland's Momenta development in New South Wales. The full case study for this project is being prepared for publication, and this page will carry the system detail, site photography and outcomes once it is complete.

Client requirements

On a development, requirements come from more than one direction: the developer, the builder, the consultants and, eventually, the people who will occupy the building. We take the time to understand what each party needs from the systems before we price or design anything.

Getting that clear early is what prevents variations and rework later in the program.

Systems installed

Developments of this kind commonly require structured cabling and network infrastructure, with security systems such as CCTV, access control and intercoms built on top of it.

Scope of works

Our scope on a development typically spans design input, supply, rough-in cabling during construction, fit-off, termination, testing, commissioning and handover documentation. Each stage is tied to a point in the builder's program rather than treated as one continuous block of work.

Challenges

Construction sites move. Trades follow one another closely, access changes week to week, and cabling has to go in before walls and ceilings close up. The real challenge is sequencing: being on site at the right point in the program, with the right work ready to go.

Solution delivered

We coordinate directly with builders and site supervisors, attend the meetings that matter, and book our stages against the construction program so our work lands in the window it needs to. Where the program moves, we move with it and confirm the change in writing.

On developments, AP Technologies Group installs commercial-grade structured cabling, switching and network infrastructure suited to long-life building services, with security systems built on top.

Final outcome

Every development handover we complete includes tested and certified infrastructure, as-built documentation and a walkthrough for the party taking the systems on. Results and client feedback from this project will be added once the case study is published.
